The House on Ellicott Hill was built by successful merchant James Moore in 1798 and has many details common in the regional architecture of the time. The back of the house features three beautiful bridges spanning the English basement. It was built on the site where the American flag was first raised over the region in 1797 to mark the newly acquired territory's boundary. Canal Street runs past the house, as well as past other historical buildings including the 1857 Stanton Hall and early 1900s Canal Street Depot.
Adults $10; Children (6-13) $8.
