Owned by one of the richest men in the area at the time, Stanton Hall was built by cotton broker Frederick Stanton in 1857. A prime example of the wealth and luxury of the privileged in pre-Civil War America, today the enthralling renovated mansion features details like hand-carved woodwork, silver-plated hinges, mantles carved from marble and French gilded mirrors lining the main parlor. The residence now serves as a historic home, located near the downtown area in the Natchez Historic District.
